Sedro-Woolley teachers are on strike to protect the time teachers have to meet with parents and students before and after school.
Supt. Mark Venn and the Sedro-Woolley School Board want to cut that time.
That contact time is a crucial part of the quality education we provide.
As far as we know, no other school districts in the state have tried to eliminate this contact time. Our administration is unreasonable.
We’re taking a stand against the district administration’s misguided and harmful efforts to eliminate parent/student contact time.
The strike will end when Supt. Mark Venn and the Sedro-Woolley School Board drop their efforts to cut parent/student contact time.
Why we strike.
